When the teams enters the Pirate's heart, there is a moment of choking darkness, threatening to strangle the life out of people, but it soon ebbs and a wailing wind shatters the silence.

You find yourselves on a vast, dry rubble-strewn wasteland being battered by winds that alternated between needle-sharp, wet cold and dry, furnace-like blasts of heat. There's a sense despite how extremely unpleasant it is that it will not harm the group, but it is trying to discourage them from exploring too thoroughly within the heart.

Above the wasteland is a dark sky utterly devoid of celestial bodies, and of such a uniform blackness that it strains the eyes to stare too long, and would no doubt incite artists into feuds over it's unnatural hue.

The only thing that broke the stark black sky is a long, ash-gray ship with a skull upon it's bow, bristling with cannons that swivel and pivot, searching for something.

The wind changes again, the lilting sound of music coming from one direction, and the sound of creaking from another.

[She shrinks into a small mote of light, and follows after Moon, while the others seem to have the other available rooms in hand, there is still the elevator]

[feels around the elevator door for a way to pry it open...]

[It slowly starts opening, but there's sounds of footfalls approaching - echoing in the empty hall]

[scuttles up onto the ceiling until the door is wide enough for him to slip inside]

[The pace of those footfalls continued at a steady pace, as the door seem to take a long time to open - opening fully when a man in deep black rounds the corner having spotted Moon, drawing a weapon from his hip]

Vermin on my ship...?

[As if in response, the doors start to close, the chance to get inside is slipping fast but it is possible]

[As the doors close, the man in black raises his weapon - and a deafening thunderclap fills the air.

Moon was struck by something small, sharp and hot right before the doors shut - this may be inside Harlock's heart but the pain was all too real, as is the newly acquired bullet wound -

thankfully he seems unfamiliar with dragon anatomy, or it might've been worse]

[SNARLS SOMETHING VERY RUDE IN DRAGON

sits down on the floor and just sticks his claws into the wound to ferret out the bullet]

[RUDE - but 100% deserved.

The speck whirls around Moon mightily concerned about the whole thing as the elevator starts heading down with a loud groan]

Do not fret, Miime. I will make myself well once the bullet is gone.

[after the first rush of blood, he's bleeding saltwater from the wound. salt crusts over the wound, rebuilding his injury much the same way as he shifted forms by dissolving into salt. in normal circumstances he could heal in moments, but in this prison, in someone else's heart...]

[It seems there is nothing hindring him from recovering, either the heart does not take them into account - or it doesn't consider it something to be overly concerned about.

The elevator rumbles ominously, letting out a low, echoing creak from above...]

[healing himself up and scrubbing the dried bloody salt off his side.


looks up at the sound]

What is that?

[The speck is growing more agitated - moving up to the emergency hatch on the top of the elevator car]

[follows her, reaching up to open the hatch]

Is something else wrong?

From above -

[There's a ding, the door starts creeping open as something lands on the elevator car with a thud]

[eggstinction]

[actually fuck the hatch, clawing his way out the elevator doors]

[The sound of stressed metal sounds almost like someone screaming as Moon tears through the doors as the car continues down the shaft, if he acts immediately he can fling himself through the narrowing opening it's sliding down past.

A deafening bang echoes from above as a hole tears through the ceiling, something pinging and denting the floor, missing Moon completely]

[a hurried apology to the ?doors? but he's scrambling for that gap, he'd like NOT to be shot again!]

[Another shot rang out behind him as he slips through the increasingly tight gap into a corridor that looked less charred and abandoned than before. Through the twisted wreckage of the door, a vague black shape can be seen springing straight up from the rapidly falling car.

A hall-shaking crash can be heard only a few moments later]

[drops to all eights for SPEED and skitters down the hall, looking for a new doorway or anywhere else to duck into]

[The door slides open much more rapidly, and Moon would find himself in a large, mutli-story room absolutely dominated by an hourglass-shaped machine completely covered with powered off panels, light screens, and on the edge of an attached counter is an empty wine glass.

On the floor is some shattered glass, likely another wine glass judging from the stem.]
